What is the most important information I should know about lisinopril?
• Do not take lisinopril if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy lisinopril 5 mg tabs. Whenused during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, lisinopril can causeinjury and even death to the developing fetus lisinopril 5 mg tabs. Notify your doctor immediatelyif you think you might be pregnant lisinopril 5 mg tabs.

What is lisinopril?
• Lisinopril is in a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting-enzyme(ACE) inhibitors lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• Lisinopril is used to lower blood pressure, to treat congestive heartfailure, and to improve the survival rate after a heart attack lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• Lisinopril may also be used for purposes other than those listed in thismedication guide lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
Who should not take lisinopril?

· have diabetes lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• You may not be able to take lisinopril, or you may require a dosage adjustmentor special monitoring during treatment if you have any of the conditions listedabove lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• Lisinopril is in the FDA pregnancy category D lisinopril 5 mg tabs. This means that lisinoprilis known to harm an unborn baby lisinopril 5 mg tabs. When used during the second and third trimestersof pregnancy, lisinopril can cause injury and even death to the developing fetus.Donot take lisinopril if you are pregnant lisinopril 5 mg tabs.

What happens if I overdose?

What should I avoid while taking lisinopril?
• Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardousactivities lisinopril 5 mg tabs. Lisinopril may cause dizziness or drowsiness lisinopril 5 mg tabs. If you experiencedizziness or drowsiness, avoid these activities and notify your doctor lisinopril 5 mg tabs. Alsouse caution when rising from a sitting or lying position lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• Use alcohol cautiously lisinopril 5 mg tabs. Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizzinesswhile you are taking lisinopril lisinopril 5 mg tabs. Alcohol may further lower blood pressure andincrease drowsiness and dizziness when you are taking lisinopril lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• Do not use salt substitutes or potassium supplements while taking lisinoprilexcept under the supervision of your doctor lisinopril 5 mg tabs.

What are the possible side effects of lisinopril?
• If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop takinglisinopril and call your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical treatment:
· an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of your throat;swelling of your lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
· difficulty breathing;
· little or no urine;
· an irregular heartbeat or changes in your heartbeat;
· chest pain;
· severe dizziness or fainting; or
· signs of an infection including a sore throat or a fever lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur lisinopril 5 mg tabs. Continueto take lisinopril and talk to your doctor if you experience
· mild dizziness or lightheadedness;
· headache;
· unusual fatigue or weakness;
· dry, tickling cough;
· muscle cramps;
· numbness or tingling in the hands, feet, arms, or legs;
· nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea;
· a rash; or
· impotence lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• Side effects other than those listed here may also occur lisinopril 5 mg tabs. Talk to yourdoctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
What other drugs will affect lisinopril?
• Before taking lisinopril, tell your doctor if you are taking any of thefollowing drugs:
· a potassium supplement such as K-Dur, Klor-Con, and others;
· salt substitutes that contain potassium;
· any of the diuretics (water pills) triamterene (Dyrenium, Maxzide,Dyazide), spironolactone (Aldactone), or amiloride (Midamor);
· any other diuretic (water pill) such as hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ,HydroDiuril, others), furosemide (Lasix), bumetanide (Bumex), indapamide (Lozol),and others;
· lithium (Lithobid, Eskalith, others); or
· indomethacin (Indocin) lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
• You may not be able to take lisinopril, or you may require a dosage adjustmentor special monitoring during your treatment if you are taking any of the medicineslisted above lisinopril 5 mg tabs.
